The Devil’s Rejects October Re-Release Gets Trailer

Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects is often considered his horror masterpiece. The 2005 follow-up to his 2003 directorial debut House of 1000 Corpses has been called an upgrade in every way possible by fans. Now, two years after the twentieth anniversary re-release of that film in 2023, The Devil’s Rejects is getting its own turn for 2025. The film has been newly remastered in 4K resolution and the below trailer teases how exciting of a theatrical experience it’ll be.

Many fans found The Devil’s Rejects following its initial release, and as such, they weren’t able to enjoy the movie on the big screen. This now changes as Lionsgate has teamed up with Fathom Events to bring Rob Zombie’s legendary sequel to the big screen. In fact, Zombie himself shared the trailer for the event on his Facebook account, as fans can view below. It’s a fun new way to look at some old footage and it presents the film in the same kind of grindhouse aesthetic that fans have associated it with for years.

THE DEVIL’S REJECTS is back on on the big screen OCTOBER 6th & 8th!” Zombie exclaimed in the video’s caption.

The Devil’s Rejects Re-Release Date & Tickets

The re-release of the fan-favorite, violent, and revenge-fueled sequel is set for two different days in early October. It’s certainly one way to start off the Halloween season as fans will be able to see the re-release of The Devil’s Rejects on October 6 and October 8. Fans can already order tickets on the official Fathom Entertainment website.

The Devil’s Rejects Re-Release Exclusives

In addition to the film itself, the Fathom Entertainment event will offer an exclusive introduction by Rob Zombie. This lines up with the previous re-release of House of 1000 Corpses which included an exclusive opening from Zombie as well. It hasn’t been confirmed if there will be any additional features for fans that attend the re-release, but there could always be another surprise being kept hidden until we reach the actual release. As such, we’ll have to wait and see what happens on that front. If nothing else, though, it’ll be great seeing this 2005 endeavor remastered and introduced by Zombie as it hits the big screen again for the first time in twenty years.

The Devil’s Rejects Plot

If you’re unfamiliar with The Devil’s Rejects, however, then this new film will be a great introduction. It is a sequel to House of 1000 Corpses but largely operates as its own stand-alone story. In fact, it’s recognized for being completely different tonally, including a more grounded western aesthetic and visual palette. This contrasts with the more colorful and zany world of House. The actual plot, however, revolves around the titular characters – members of the Firefly Family – as they navigate Texas to escape a vengeful lawman. Naturally, a number of victims also get in the way, and it comes together to create a dark, hilarious, and shocking tribute to the bygone exploitation genre.

A sequel eventually did follow in 2019 titled 3 From Hell. The film did not receive anywhere near the same reception as Devil’s Rejects, however, and it’s quite impressive that Rejects has overshadowed House in so many ways over the years. Altogether, the films make a great trilogy, one that’s consistent in its means to recreate an older style of motion pictures that just do not get made today. Genre icons like Bill Moseley, Sid Haig, and Sheri Moon Zombie lead the cast, and fans should simply do themselves the favor if they haven’t seen it already and check out The Devil’s Rejects on the big screen.
