As some of you may know, I’ve been struggling to build Brain Mutant as a brand over the past year. My work hasn’t quite paid off yet, although I’m proud of my accomplishments. I’m especially surprised at how well I was able to grow the Facebook page; which at the time of this article has nearly 100,000 followers. Although I don’t always reach that number of people with my posts, it’s still an incredible feat regardless and I’m thankful for everyone who has followed my page.
Aside from that, there’s my Twitter and YouTube profiles which are still finding their “footing”. Lastly, there exists this website which you’re on right now. The website’s theme has been updated; and, if I may say so myself, it’s now looking rather spiffy. There’s still plenty of work to be done, including a complete overhaul of all the current categories and pages, but I like where it’s going.
It’s also because of this new update that I decided to discuss what I’d like Brain Mutant to eventually become. My goal is to make a network of social media platforms all connected to this website. This way I can channel my passion for the horror and sci-fi genres in a way that makes it fun for other fans as well. It’s also my goal to one day support myself financially through doing this.
Thus I may turn to some interesting new platforms in the future, including Patreon if I could engage my audience enough to support it. I think it would be a rather fun endeavor, raising money to implement new features for Brain Mutant and gathering new resources to improve its content. So who knows what to expect as time goes on? Either way it’ll be a pleasure writing, filming, and posting for all of you in the meantime.
Would you be interested in one day supporting a Patreon for Brain Mutant? I’d like to hear your thoughts!
